Top 15 lessons learned in life

Following are some lessons I've learned in life till now :-

1. There is perfect logic behind everything Islam tells us to do. If one can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

2. Get married or stay single, anything else will prove to be detrimental in time.

3. Excess of everything is bad.

4. We are slave to our hearts and minds but there are ways to transcend.

5. Currently i dont know the purpose of life but what i do know is that its not getting educational degree's, accumulating wealth, marrying a perfect spouse and then doing it all over again for your children. It's just a part of it but we are born with a much higher purpose.

6. Cheating in schools, colleges etc will only do you harm. The purpose of education is to stimulate your brain and invigorate your thinking process and cheating kills both of them. Unfortunately we all come to realize/understand the drawbacks of cheating in the later stages of life and some never do.

7. Better not to judge people cause there is a big ocean inside their hearts and minds and you may be looking at it from the shore. You may look alot but not enough.

8. Pain is neither a friend nor a foe (i'll explain this in my next blog).

9. You may come to hate what you love today with the passage of time (even though everything else may remain constant) but it doesn't have to be that way.

10. There are no limits to your most powerful weapon........choice.

11. Think about the things you have and not have not's. There will always be some/alot have not's in your life but understand this that it is for your own good.

12. One of devil's strategy is to give you short term gratification against long term deterioration.

13. Its better that your deepest desire remains unfulfilled otherwise you may loose the flavor of your life.

14. Sometimes its ok to not know the right answers if you know the right questions.

and my personal favorite........

15. Its better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you're not.

Endnotes

1. Listing is not based on priority.
2. My lessons learned don't necessarily mean lessons implemented but i try to.

  2. One must go for his deepest desire because with time the taste of your life will become bitter and bitter as long as that desire stays inside your heart. If that cant be fulfilled then one must at least find a reason for that to console your heart rather putting this on luck or blaming it.. otherwise that desire will be a thorn inside you giving you pain at every breath yo take .
No 7 is the best one ..

  3. u cant judge people completely but atleast u can make idea about its personality by his actions not merely at once.
one hav no limitations on its desire to make a choice but when it comes practically to make a choice then one hav to consider n look over its resourcs relationships etc surely while making a choice u hav extrnl limitations if one ignore it then maybe outcum will be bad.
one must hav to fullfill or vanish its deepest desire coz if it remains unfulfilled then it makes oneself unsatisfy wid owns life.
anyways gudwork farhan. writing about ur views n concepts of life makes gud understanding wid urself ( selfawareness ) keep it up .

i agree.....one should try to achieve one's deepest desire which also comes natural but if one can't then its not a big problem....life can move on without it....also for me the reason that will suffice is that we can't have everything and we shouldn't either.....we need unfulfilled desires to keep us motivated.....also every time our deepest desire is fulfilled then another one pop's out and this process never stops.....also i believe there are higher things to focus than our desires.....

    @ sareena
your right that small perceptions can be created about a person's personality but avoid general one's.....when you mention external environment than lets ask ourselves who controls that environment?.....what if you are adored by that supreme being that controls the uncontrolled environment than what are the chances of such limitations working in your way......ill probably take up this discussion on another blog.....

thank you both for your replies and your right sareena that writing helps in understanding and to be understood.

  5. 1. There is perfect logic behind everything Islam tells us to do.
    perfect ! i love this

    2. Get married or stay single.
Truth, nothing exists in b/w, even if does, it's nothing more than Infatuation, a short lived foolish act.

    4. We are slave to our hearts and minds but there are ways to transcend.
it's difficult to do anything against your will, but trust Allah, let your life flow on Allah's will, it'll end well. i wanted to do something, my parents wanted me to do something else. it was a hard decision to make, but now when i look back, i feel satisfied atm. i feel happy to live acco to my parent's will, and probably Allah's will too.

5.we are born with a much higher purpose.
use the most of your time, just not wait for your purpose to appear in front of you you never know if you'll be alive the next second or not !

    6. Cheating in schools, colleges etc will only do you harm.
haha, i m realizing it now in a professional institute :p

    7. Better not to judge people.
right, you never know, who is going through what !

    9. You may come to hate what you love today with the passage of time.
not always, but so some extent it's true, i have experienced :p and it's just because of the attitude u own.. we humans can never get satisfied with what we have!

    11. Think about the things you have and not have not's.
the most difficult thing, we always want such things that we don't have.

    13. Its better that your deepest desire remains unfulfilled otherwise you may loose the flavor of your life.
it gets lost the other way !!.. atleast you should try your best !

    15. Its better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you're not.
no one loves you in real (few exceptions), they pretend so ! so either way you are hated..
